Dear Soaring Capital Families,    

It is with much sadness that as a club, we write this letter to inform you that former longtime SCSC President, Board Member, and coach, Brian Adams has recently passed away. It is a tremendous loss for the surrounding community and we are collectively heartbroken that he is no longer with us. 

Brian was the Vice-President of SCSC from 2006-2009, President from 2010-2016, and Board Member 2006-2020.  Along with those positions, Brian spent countless hours helping the club from a logistical and coaching standpoint.  He accomplished immeasurable things behind the scenes for the club that will never truly be known.   

He also coached many successful SCSC Boys teams on and off the field in the club.  These teams included the SCSC Firehawks (99) that reached the 2014 US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Regional Finals in Charleston, South Carolina.   

Brian was also not only a successful coach for SCSC, but also at Elmira Notre Dame High School.  He remained the head coach at the school from 2010-2016, winning the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class "C" State Championship in 2015.     

Brian was an entrepreneur who built his own company from the ground up, and turned it into a very successful business. He also served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.   

Our deepest sympathies to his friends and family, Brian will be truly missed but never forgotten.
